myORTHODONTIST supports myCOMMUNITY!
Proudly sponsoring the Calgary Minor Football Charity Jamboree
Calgary, AB: On Saturday, August 18th, 2018 from 9am to 4pm Dr. Dhol (orthodontist) will proudly be the feature sponsor for the Calgary Minor Football Charity Jamboree.
All proceeds from the event support the Ronald McDonald House (Southern and Central Alberta Chapter). For those not familiar with the Ronald McDonald House, we ask you take a moment to read Sasha’s story below. She describes the impact supporters, like Dr. Dhol, have made through their ongoing support.
“We stayed at Ronald McDonald House for 44 days. I was pregnant and our son Max decided to make his appearance two months early, leading to several medical complications. One of the hardest days of my life was the day I was discharged from the hospital. I had to leave without my baby. The only reason I was able to muster up enough courage to walk out the front doors that day was because I knew we would be just steps away, at the Ronald McDonald House. It truly is a home away from home. We will never forget what you did for us during those hard days and we will be forever grateful for all the people and organizations that make it possible for Ronald McDonald House to operate in the manner that you do. Sasha.”
This sponsorship is especially close to Dr. Dhol’s heart as he is very passionate about giving back to the community and “keeping families close”, the Ronald McDonald House mission statement.
In addition to this support, Dr. Dhol will be offering custom athletic mouthguards to youth athletes for a donation of $5, with all proceeds going to KidSport and helping kids play safe.
About myORTHODONTIST / Dr. Dhol | Certified Specialist in Orthodontics:
Dr. Dhol has been practicing orthodontics for over 15 years, in Calgary. He started his practice from the ground up and takes nothing for granted. Over the years he has built his organization that now serves many communities throughout Calgary and is happy to be lending a hand to others around him. He is a devoted husband and father of four beautiful girls, with a desire to give back to the community.
Growing up in Calgary, he developed a passion for football, attending Bowness High School, and was the lead quarterback during his high school years. Upon completion of dental school, he took this passion for football, to Lac la Biche and coached a team of Bantam kids to victory.
Dr. Dhol believes in a holistic approach to Orthodontics and assesses everything from airway and facial muscle function to teeth and jaw structure, and everything in between. He is passionate about airwayfocused orthodontics and believes that the airway is the gateway to one’s overall health. He loves theopportunity to work with children at any age, however, recommends seeing an orthodontist as early as possible in order to achieve maximum benefit.
Dr. Dhol is a proud supporter of Free the Children and is dedicated to global causes that inspire youth to take action. In 2014, he partnered with Free the Children to build a schoolroom in Kalthana, India and continues to work with this charity to help those in need. This initiative helps to give access to clean water, and to develop programs that support women and families.
Also, he is continually collaborating and working with local community groups, in Calgary, to support children through sport and give them opportunities that might not otherwise exist. There are many platforms where Dr. Dhol is contributing to helping youth. He supports youth sport through KidSport and his annual mouthguard program. Hockey HEROS is another charity that he has been involved with and has teamed up with them again, to support their newest program called SUPERHEROS. This program advocates for children with cognitive challenges, and more specifically autism and downs syndrome to learn to play hockey. This is the first program of its kind in Canada.
Additionally, he is an ongoing advocate for the Alberta Children’s Hospital, through various initiatives, including Ronald McDonald House and SEVA Charity. These programs are special to him and he feels that the kids give back to him more than he could possibly imagine.
